Northern Pilgrimage Southern Queensland
On the 30th April to the 2nd May 2022, nearly
70 "Cursillista Pilgrims" embarked on a
3 day, drive yourself trip to Gympie, Bundaberg, Gayndah and Maryborough, in the Northern Region of Brisbane Anglican Diocese..
First stop was St Peter's Gympie for lunch followed by a mini Ultreya. Then we moved Onwards and Upwards to Bundaberg West, The Good Shepherd parish for Dinner followed by an Ultreya.
On Sunday we headed west to St Matthews Gayndah to swell the numbers for their Holy Communion followed by Lunch in the hall and a by request joyous singalong. Who won the treasure hunt??
After an afternoon drive through some wonderful countryside, we arrived at St Paul's Maryborough. We were treated to a huge delicious spread of food for dinner. The evening included more singing, a meditation, group discussions and concluded with an Evening Prayer service. On Monday, Maryborough parish provided breakfast and we were sent on our way back to our homes
The purpose of the journey was to support and encourage
1.our far northern region cursillistas in their 4th day
2.their parishes and prospective candidates.
3. Experience the joy of the Cursillo Community
The camaraderie of the trip will live in the
lives of those who attended, forever.
